He has extensive experience takeovers, schemes of arrangement, the sale and purchase of businesses, ASX listings, foreign investment, joint ventures, share buy backs and Corporations Act compliance. Byron also advises on securities law, funds management and corporate governance. Recent major transactions include acting for Vocation Limited in its IPO, acting for Challenger Infrastructure Fund in its sale of assets and winding-up, and acting for Vodafone in its $8 billion merger with Hutchison.
Byron is a member of the Takeovers Panel and is recognised as a leading individual in Corporate/M&A by Chambers Asia-Pacific 2014.
